Shrimper Mk 1 Peggotty

Due to the need for a larger boat to accommodate a growing family, I am now selling my much-loved Shrimper 19, ‘Peggotty’. The boat comes complete with an excellent outboard motor and road trailer.

The boat, motor and trailer are all in excellent condition and come ready to use with no work required as well as with lots of ‘extras’. The sale includes a 6HP Mercury outboard that is only three years old and has been serviced each winter. It runs faultlessly. The sale also includes a Bramber ‘piggy back’ road trailer, fully serviced in Summer 2024 with a new damper, new hitch, new wheel bearings and road tyres, new brake cables and a new winch. The boat has a new spruce mast, made by Collars in 2023. The reefing spar and jib furler were replaced in Summer 2025 by AeroLuff Spars. The main sail is tan in colour and in good condition and the tan jib sail was replaced in 2022. The main sail cover is fine but could do with some restitching in paces. The centreboard was removed, sand-blasted and recoated and the centreboard wire was replaced during the winter of 2024. The boat’s navy-blue gelcoat was polished in Summer 2024 and the boat was newly antifouled and all wooden spars were varnished. Standing rigging was replaced in 2023 and much of the running rigging has also been replaced. The boat comes with a very useful cockpit tent, a lightly used tan-coloured spray-hood, a full winter cover, a cockpit-cover, an anchor and chain, lots of spare ropes, a fuel tank, water tank, gas stove, porta-potti, fenders, cushions etc.

This Shrimper 19 is in excellent condition and has been given a lot of love and care by its original owner and by me over the past few years. It is ready to sail and priced to achieve a quick sale to a serious buyer. Peggotty is currently in the water on a swing mooring in Bosham, Chichester Harbour. I’m happy to show her to serious buyers.
