Omega is on her mooring at Redclyffe Yacht club, Wareham and is available to view most days.

I have had Omega, a Mk1 Outboard Shrimper, since 2013. She has been used for day sails and overnight stays in Poole Harbour, Swanage and the bay as well as occasional longer trips to the Isle of Wight and Weymouth Bay. Very well equipped and maintained.

The outboard is a Tohatsu 6HP 4Stroke, 2013 serviced every season and starts and runs sweetly. It has < 300 hours since new. The ‘Saildrive’ option means the propeller pitch is matched to the Shrimper, which aids fuel economy, lowers noise and benefits manoeuvring. It also has a battery charging output to keep the 12V system topped up. Also, a flexible solar panel on the coach roof charges the battery without the motor running.

Omega, has a black hull with cream topsides and is in good condition.

Mast is fitted with a mast sock to prevent the boom’s crutch fork from chafing the Sikkens finish.

The trailer is a Bramber “Piggyback” with launch/yard trolley in good condition and new tyres on the trolley. It also has a fairly new winch.
