Centreplate & Rudder
The centreplate (lifting keel) and rudder of a Shrimper can suffer much abuse, but remain largely unseen. Regular maintenance is essential, particularly for the pivot bolts and lifting cables, as failure is, at best, inconvenient and can be much worse.
