new website for the 25th anniversary of the SOA

Those who own and sail Cornish Shrimpers know the meaning of a "well found vessel". The Shrimper Owners Association has the same attributes as the boats, a well built but simple constitution that finds strength in traditional design but is more than happy to try new methods of construction. The magazine of the Association, "The Shrimper", will continue to link us all together but we hope that as more gain access to the internet this website will add to the experience of being a member. We hope also that others who would like to discover the delights of simple sailing in a gaff rigged boat gain an insight into our world by delving further..

navigation and design

The best way of finding your way about is to use the blue drop down menus at the top of the page. There will also be links within the site and to other sites of interest. The present design can at best be described as "solid". Basically the more poor weather we have the better it will become! Any ideas and suggestions will be gratefully received by mailing me at the webmaster.

content

Most importantly we need content! Most of what you see here now has been brought across from Jane's site. The essence of a great site is layout and immediacy; I can do the former but I need your help for the latter! Please send in stuff, especially good photos, to me by e-mail.

I would also be grateful for assistance from anyone who can put together graphics and logos - we need more of them!
